Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actor-singer Danson Tang has expressed strong dissatisfaction after photos from his four-year-old son’s kindergarten activity were secretly taken and later circulated to the media.

The former idol drama star, known for his roles in popular series such as KO One and Hanazakarino Kimitachihe, said he was particularly upset with the behavior of certain parents who allegedly photographed children on campus without consent.

According to Danson Tang, he has always prioritized being present during his child’s important milestones and tries to attend school events whenever possible.

He described friendly interactions among parents including casual conversations and group photos as normal and positive.

However, he questioned the motives of those who chose to secretly take pictures and share them externally.

“If someone looks out of curiosity for themselves, I can still understand,” he said. “But as fellow parents, what were they thinking by leaking the images,?”.

His remarks highlighted concerns about privacy boundaries, especially when minors are involved.

The incident sparked widespread discussion online, with many netizens supporting Tang’s stance.

Some users emphasized that schools should remain relatively private spaces and that children deserve stronger protection from unauthorized photography.

Despite the controversy, Tang noted that media outlets had blurred his child’s face and reported the story in a relatively neutral tone, suggesting he was not overly offended by the coverage itself.

Instead, his main concern lies with the initial act of secret photography within the school environment.

Under current legal frameworks in many regions, taking and distributing images of others without permission particularly minors may violate personal data protection or privacy laws.

If such images are used for commercial or media purposes, affected parties may have grounds to pursue legal action.
