The issue drew public attention after photos circulated online suggesting that a laser beam had been directed at his eyes.
In response, Louis Koo clarified that he was completely unaware of any such incident at the time.
He stated that he did not see anyone using a laser pointer during the event.
When he later saw the photos, he initially thought the light effect was simply coming from his own eyes or a camera reflection.
He emphasized that if someone had indeed used a laser pointer intentionally, it would be inappropriate and potentially dangerous, as it could harm a person’s eyesight.
Fortunately, he was wearing sunglasses during the event, which may have helped protect his eyes. However, he reiterated that he personally did not notice anything unusual at the scene.
Meanwhile, his frequent use of sunglasses at public events had previously sparked speculation about his health.
Addressing these concerns, Louis Koo confirmed that he is currently dealing with an eye condition.
He revealed that his right eye has developed two holes in the retina, leading to visual disturbances such as seeing floating black lines, commonly known as floaters.
He also shared that he will need to schedule surgery to treat the issue.
