Overseasidol.com — Former BEJ48 member Huang Yici has returned to the spotlight following new developments in her legal dispute with Siba Media (Star48).
According to publicly available corporate records, her contract dispute case has officially been scheduled for a court hearing on May 26, 2026, at the Hongkou District People’s Court in Shanghai.
The case stems from a contractual conflict between the former idol and her management company, which oversaw her career during her time in the entertainment industry.
Huang Yici had previously announced her departure from BEJ48 through a detailed public statement that quickly gained widespread attention.
In her statement, she outlined multiple grievances, including what she described as unequal treatment toward members of different sub-groups.
According to her, this disparity significantly affected her opportunities and overall career growth.
She also pointed out that the voting results achieved through fans’ efforts during SNH48 general election events did not translate into fair exposure.
Huang Yici further claimed that her presence in official music videos was extremely limited, with screen time reportedly lasting less than two seconds.
Despite making several attempts to communicate with management regarding stage positioning and professional arrangements, she stated that her concerns were repeatedly ignored.
She also highlighted a number of promises made by the company that were never fulfilled.
