Overseasidol.com — SNH48 GROUP has officially announced its 2026 Annual Youth Festival, also known as the General Election, which will take place on August 8, 2026, in Suzhou, China.
Carrying the theme “Dreams, Sweat, and Perseverance,” the annual event remains one of the biggest idol entertainment events in Asia.
Voting for this year’s General Election will run from May 30 to August 8, 2026. As in previous years, fans will determine the ranking of members through voting support.
However, the 2026 edition introduces even larger reward systems and career development opportunities for participating members.
The event will recognize members who rank in TOP1, TOP3, TOP16, TOP32, and TOP48 based on popularity and fan support.
A separate TOP16 rookie category has also been prepared to spotlight promising newer members within the group.
Members who enter the TOP16 “Starlight Group”, TOP32 “Flying Group”, and TOP48 “Dream Group” will participate in recording original EP projects produced by Siba Media’s official music production team. Each award group will also receive dedicated music video productions.
The TOP16 Starlight Group is scheduled to film their music videos overseas, while the TOP32 and TOP48 groups will shoot in selected locations across Asia and China.
