Chinese actor Liu Ruilin has responded to a recent social media controversy involving an encounter with a fan at a fitness center.
The discussion began after a netizen shared an experience of spotting Liu Ruilin at a gym and taking a photo to send to a friend.
According to the post, someone accompanying the actor quickly approached and asked for the image to be deleted.
The netizen further claimed that after deleting the photo, the person with Liu Ruilin contacted gym staff to remind them about taking pictures without permission.
In response, Liu Ruilin personally clarified the situation and apologized for the unpleasant experience.
He explained that the individual who spoke to the netizen was not a member of his staff, but his wife.
The actor said the gym visit was part of their private routine outside of work.
Since his wife is not involved in his professional activities, she felt uneasy and caught off guard when someone suddenly took photos without asking.
Liu Ruilin acknowledged the fan’s feelings and admitted that the situation could have been handled more appropriately.
He stated that he and his family would communicate more carefully in similar situations in the future.
