Taiwanese actor Edward Chen has officially confirmed that he is in a relationship with actress Lan Xiya.
Speaking at a public event on July 3, 2026, he revealed that the couple has been dating for the past seven months.
Chen shared that he does not particularly like the term “going public with a relationship”.
He explained that both he and Lan Xiya agreed they would naturally acknowledge their romance if they were photographed or asked by the media.
He also expressed his hope that Lan Xiya would continue to be recognized for her own career rather than simply as “Edward Chen’s girlfriend”.
When asked who confessed first, Chen smiled and said their feelings were mutual from the beginning.
He added that both of them would give the same answer because their relationship developed naturally.
The two actors previously worked together on the film The Garden of Forking Paths.
