Chinese actress Xin Zhilei won the Best Actress honor at the China Film Directors’ Guild 2025 Honors, presented during the 2026 China Film Directors’ Night held in Yantai on July 5, 2026.
She received the award for her performance in the film The Sun Rises on Us All.
Xin Zhilei caught everyone’s attention by running onto the stage to accept her award.
During her acceptance speech, she joked that she thought it would look exciting, but instead it left her out of breath.
She expressed her gratitude to screenwriter Han Nianjin for creating a powerful and authentic female character from a woman’s perspective.
Xin also thanked director Cai Shangjun for believing in her throughout the filming process, especially during moments when she doubted herself.
