Overseasidol.com — On April 8, Chinese actor Huang Junjie was sued by his ex-girlfriend, who also released an official legal notice through her lawyer.
In her social media post, she revealed chat logs and money transfer records, claiming that Huang repeatedly asked for financial help during their five-year relationship.
She stated that from 2019 onwards, Huang Junjie frequently requested money under various pretexts, such as setbacks in his career, medical expenses for his ill mother, living costs, and tuition fees.
He reportedly promised to eventually marry her, let her manage his income, and open a café together once he became financially stable.
However, the relationship ended definitively on February 25, 2025, with no possibility of reconciliation.
The woman’s legal representative, Lawyer Xu Tingting from Zhejiang Shan Neng Law Firm, confirmed that between 2020 and 2025, her client transferred over 800,000 yuan (approximately $110,000) to Huang Junjie with the intention of supporting a relationship aimed at marriage.
With the breakup, that purpose is now considered unachievable.
According to the legal notice, Huang repaid 500,000 yuan (around $69,000) in February 2025 but still owes over 300,000 yuan.
The legal team has given Huang a one-year period to repay the remaining amount in full.
If he fails to do so, the matter will proceed to court, where he may also be held responsible for additional costs such as legal and litigation fees.
