Overseasidol.com — CGM48 has officially unveiled their third original single, “Dai (Daai) Mai,” marking a new chapter for the idol group from Northern Thailand.

This release stands out for its strong cultural identity, drawing inspiration from the traditional Lanna heritage of Chiang Mai while blending it with CGM48’s modern pop style.

The song delivers an uplifting message about courage, perseverance, and believing in one’s dreams.

The phrase “Dai Mai,” which translates to “Can we do it?” or “Is it possible?”, reflects the spirit of determination and optimism that runs throughout the track.

In the music video, CGM48 beautifully highlights Chiang Mai’s historic handwoven textile craftsmanship.

The members are seen actively participating in the weaving process, showcasing not only the visual beauty of the fabrics but also the cultural significance behind them.

The MV also features graceful Northern Thai traditional dance, known for its soft and elegant movements.

These performances are seamlessly blended with contemporary choreography, creating a visual experience that celebrates both tradition and modern artistry.

“Dai (Daai) Mai” was created by a talented team, with lyrics by Tanupop Notayanont and Nattha Thanavanich, and music composed by Pongchuk Pissathanporn.

The arrangement successfully combines ethnic elements with a fresh pop sound, making the song both meaningful and enjoyable.

The single includes selected members from CGM48 Team C along with trainees, highlighting the group’s unity and the promising presence of its next generation.

Through this release, CGM48 not only delivers a new musical piece but also offers a heartfelt tribute to Northern Thailand’s cultural roots, strengthening their identity while introducing the beauty of Chiang Mai to a broader audience.
