Overseasidol.com — Chinese actor Li Hongyi has become the center of public attention after it was revealed that the Chaoyang District People’s Court in Beijing issued a high-consumption restriction order against him.
The measure stems from a contract dispute filed by Hunan Mango Entertainment Co., Ltd., with an enforcement amount totaling approximately 11.18 million yuan.
According to information from the business database platform Qichacha, the case falls under a contractual dispute.
As a result, the court imposed restrictions on Hongyi’s high-level spending, sparking widespread discussion online.
The situation has drawn particular interest due to Li’s public profile, as he first rose to prominence in 2014 after appearing on the popular reality show X-Change Life.
In response to the growing attention, Li Hongyi’s studio released an official statement on December 25 to clarify the situation.
The statement explained that the high-consumption restriction was implemented solely because Li Hongyi currently lacks the financial capacity to immediately fulfill the full amount ordered by the court.
The studio emphasized that the matter does not involve any illegal or criminal behavior, nor does it violate public morals, and it will not affect Li Hongyi’s ongoing or future collaborations.
Shortly afterward, Li Hongyi himself addressed the issue, stating that the matter has not yet been fully resolved and that he is actively working with the relevant parties to reach a solution.
