Overseasidol.com — The highly anticipated fantasy romance series “Love on the Turquoise Land” officially premiered on Tencent Video on November 22, 2025.
Produced by Tencent Video and Xiangongfu Culture, the drama is led by chief director Tian Li, with He Tan and Meng Yuan co-directing. The script was written by Liu Xindan, Lu Zixuan, and Chen Siyi.
The series stars Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Xingxu, supported by a strong cast including Zhang Li, Zhang Yichi, Tian Xiaojie, Dong Chang, Su Xin, Cherry Ngan, Pan Meiye, Lin Peng, and Shi Yueling.
Filming began in March 2024 in Ningbo, capturing scenic and historical locations such as Yinjiang Rock Climbing Park, South Song Stone Carving Park, and the ancient town of Cixi.
The drama is adapted from the well-loved novel by Weiyu, known for its rich Eastern-inspired worldbuilding and emotional depth.
“Love on the Turquoise Land” follows Nie Jiuluo, a fierce member of the clandestine supernatural group “Nanshan Hunters” and Yan Tuo, an undercover operative carrying a painful past.
Their story starts with conflict but gradually evolves into trust and affection as they repeatedly face life-and-death situations together.

The series has been on viewers’ radar long before its release. It won the Most Anticipated Work Award at the Tencent Video Starlight Awards 2024.
In April 2025, it secured its distribution license, and by September, it was listed in the 2025 Tenth Batch Key Copyright Protection Warning Catalogue.
On November 17, the drama unveiled its official trailer and premiere date.
Early performance metrics are strong. According to Yunhe data, the show achieved a 6.7% market share of effective plays on its premiere day, ranking fourth among all currently airing dramas.
The following day, its market share nearly doubled to 11.9%, rising to third place.
Author Nie Xi drew inspiration from a Shan Hai Jing-themed exhibition, creating a novel rich in Eastern fantasy elements.
