Overseasidol.com — A wave of grief hit the Chinese entertainment industry on September 11, 2025. Actor Yu Menglong was reported dead after falling from a building in Beijing.
When the news first broke, his management team did not immediately respond.
Later in the afternoon, his close friend Gao Taiyu wrote on social media, “Your smile will forever stay in my memory,” sparking speculation that he was mourning the actor.
Around noon, actor Wen Yifan also shared an emotional post, saying, “Good night, my dear friend. May heaven be free of pain, filled only with the sunshine and songs you love. We will always remember you as a star who once lit up the world,”.
The post, however, was later deleted in his Weibo. By evening, Yu Menglong’s studio released an official statement confirming the tragedy.
They announced that the 37-year-old actor had died after a fall, and police had ruled out any criminal involvement.
Tributes from fellow celebrities soon followed. Actress Yang Mi wrote, “Fourth Brother, may you find peace in another world,” recalling their collaboration in Eternal Love.
Dilraba Dilmurat also expressed her sorrow, saying, “In my memory, you were always the gentle and sincere Bai Zhen.
When we reunited on variety shows, you were still the same kind soul. Rest in peace, you will always be remembered,”.
