Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese heartthrob Greg Hsu Kuang Han, often called the “National Boyfriend,” has officially completed his alternative military service on August 6, 2025.
At noon, he appeared before media and fans, greeting them with a warm smile.
When asked about his feelings after finishing his service, Hsu replied cheerfully, “This year has been fulfilling and healthy!”
Hsu began his alternative service on August 20, 2024, as part of the Nantou Public Welfare Ambassador Team.
Reflecting on the past year, he expressed deep gratitude.
“Thank you to everyone who came today. I’ve learned so much. The locals were so kind they often gave me extra food.
I’m really grateful to them and to all the officers, civil servants, security staff, and cleaning aunties who looked after me,”.
He added that the experience gave him much-needed time for self-reflection.
“This year helped me calm down and clear my thoughts. I’m very happy and will carry this energy into my next projects,”.
Hsu also revealed plans to return to acting soon.
“I’m preparing to start filming a new project. Hopefully I can adapt quickly, since I haven’t worked in a year,” he said.
