According to local media reports, the funeral was held early this morning (12/11) in a modest and low-profile manner, with no religious rituals involved, reflecting the family’s wishes.
A vigil was held yesterday evening (12/10) at the World Funeral Home. After the final rites were completed this morning, the casket was transferred to the Cape Collinson Crematorium for cremation.
Kenneth Ma appeared in a black mourning suit, carrying his father’s portrait as he accompanied the casket to the hearse.
Upon arriving at the crematorium, staff members took charge of moving the casket inside, while Kenneth waited quietly at the entrance hall for about 10 minutes.
During this time, he was seen discussing the ceremony procedures with the staff.
His wife, Roxanne Tong, soon arrived dressed entirely in black, accompanied by Kenneth’s grandmother and other close relatives who traveled together on a chartered bus.
Roxanne gently assisted the elderly woman as she stepped off the vehicle before joining Kenneth at the entrance, and the family entered the hall together.
Once the cremation concluded, Kenneth was seen leaving the venue with a sorrowful expression, supported closely by his wife.
The couple later helped Kenneth’s mother into their vehicle, demonstrating unity and family support during this difficult period.
