Overseasidol.com — The ongoing legal dispute involving actor Tian Xuning has once again captured public attention after the individual known as “Jiu Cheng Mei” resumed livestream selling sessions.
During the broadcast, remarks perceived as indirect criticism were made, alongside efforts to reinforce a particular personal image, sparking widespread discussion online.
Entertainment lawyer Li Zhenwu weighed in on the situation, explaining that public statements made during an active legal process could potentially affect how evidence is perceived.
He noted that such actions might even lead to additional legal disputes if the statements are deemed defamatory.
Furthermore, he emphasized that these activities could interfere with judicial proceedings and result in unfavorable impressions from the court, although the direct impact on the final verdict may be limited.
Nonetheless, indirect consequences should not be overlooked.
Meanwhile, Shanghai Landing Law Offices has confirmed that a lawsuit has been formally filed against individuals accused of fabricating information and committing defamation against Tian Xuning.
This legal action is part of an effort to protect the actor’s reputation.
Recent updates indicate that the defendant has stated the trial is expected to take place in approximately two months.
Reports suggest that the defamation case is scheduled to be heard in early June 2026 at a court in Hangzhou, China.
Earlier in mid-March, Tian Xuning’s studio issued two official statements, firmly denying the allegations and describing them as baseless and defamatory.
The studio accused the involved party of deliberately distorting facts and spreading rumors, causing significant harm to the actor’s public image.
The case began when Jiu was accused of spreading rumors that she was pregnant and had a child while she was in a relationship with the actor.
