Overseasidol.com — On July 5, 2025, multiple Chinese media reported that Lu Han’s social media accounts have been reactivated and are now available for public following.
His Weibo, Douyin, and Xiaohongshu accounts had been restricted since January this year.
The restriction stemmed from a controversy during a livestream session on January 6.
Lu Han drew criticism after displaying inappropriate behavior, including swearing and making an offensive hand gesture.
These actions sparked widespread debate online and led to the temporary disabling of his accounts.
On the same day his accounts were restored, Luhan’s studio issued a formal apology.
In the statement, Luhan expressed sincere regret and took responsibility for the negative impact caused.
He promised to improve his behavior and fulfill his responsibilities as a public figure.
Luhan was born on April 20, 1990, in Haidian, Beijing. He studied at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and was discovered by SM Entertainment during his time in South Korea.
He debuted in 2012 as a member of the K-pop group EXO and sub-unit EXO-M.
After filing a lawsuit to terminate his contract in 2014, he returned to China and pursued a solo career.
