As the story approaches its finale, Hou Minghao shared his thoughts on his co-star and his role during an interview with Sohu Entertainment.
Hou described Lu Yuxiao as a dedicated actress who pays great attention to details.
He recalled that even during the early days of filming, she already showed a strong grasp of her character’s subtle traits.
“She had many scenes where she had to hide her identity and test my character. She brought a unique energy and aura that is very rare. That kind of natural charm is her biggest strength,” he said.
He also mentioned an interesting contrast in her personality. “When she plays Mingxian, a fierce goddess of war, her eyes are sharp and commanding. But off-screen, she’s gentle and cheerful. That contrast is really adorable,” Hou added.
When asked if he would like to collaborate with Lu again, Hou said he hoped to try a modern romance drama.
“Maybe I could play a biker, and she could be a cute, soft girl. I actually know how to ride a motorcycle, so I want to show it in modern drama,” he said with a laugh.
