Overseasidol.com — The Thai movie “Panyi I Sea You” has unveiled its official poster and is confirmed for theatrical release on January 8, 2026, through Major Cineplex.
Blending romance, drama, and comedy, the movie draws inspiration from the stunning floating village of Panyi in Phang Nga one of Thailand’s most remarkable cultural landmarks.
Starring Save Saisawat and Ging Areeya Pholphutrakul, and directed by Arinchai Rattanavijit, the film has been in production since 2024 and is now ready to make its debut on the big screen.
“Panyi I Sea You” tells the story of Dr. Park, a young physician from Bangkok who is assigned to the remote island of Panyi, becoming its only doctor.
His initial goal is simple fulfill his duty well enough to return home. But as he gradually bonds with the warm and welcoming Muslim fishing community, he finds himself becoming an unexpected local hero.
Along the way, he discovers affection, connection, and a sense of belonging he never anticipated. Ultimately, Dr. Park must choose between life in bustling Bangkok or a new beginning on Panyi Island.
The film gained international attention after making a strong impression at the Madani International Film Festival 2025, praised for its portrayal of local culture, Muslim traditions, and the iconic floating football field that has made the village famous worldwide.
With its heartfelt narrative and breathtaking seaside setting, “Panyi I Sea You” is poised to be one of Thailand’s standout film releases in early 2026.
