The new Chinese drama Road to Success officially premiered on July 5 on iQIYI and iQIYI International.
The youth romance series stars Yu Shuxin and Chen Jingke in the lead roles.
Adapted from the novel The Narrow Road by Chang Er, the drama follows Lin Wanxing, a psychology PhD student.
She returns to her hometown after a major life change and begins working as a school sports equipment manager.
There, she meets Wang Fa, a former football coach who leaves his job in the United Kingdom and returns to China to uncover the truth behind the death of one of his students.
Together, they rebuild the school’s football team and guide students through both athletic challenges and academic pressure.
As the team prepares for important matches and college entrance exams, Lin Wanxing and Wang Fa also confront their own emotional wounds while encouraging the students to pursue their dreams.
