The netizen added that the couple appeared relaxed and affectionate, chatting and laughing throughout.
They also clarified that the divorce rumors circulating online are false, emphasizing that Shawn Dou and Laurinda Ho seemed perfectly in love.
The rumors first surfaced after influencer Tiffany released a video saying that “women should never marry beneath themselves”.
In the video, she mentioned a rich woman who married an actor, claiming he spent all his savings on their wedding while the woman offered no financial support.
Tiffany added that the couple was allegedly facing marital issues, which many online users believed referred to Shawn and Laurinda.
In response, Dou Xiao addressed the issue on October 23, posting, “Hello everyone. I want to apologize for the noise on social media lately. We initially didn’t want to respond to unfounded rumors, but things have gone too far. Please don’t believe or spread false information,”.
Laurinda Ho later echoed his statement, saying, “Thank you to everyone who cares for us sincerely. We understand the curiosity, but a stable relationship doesn’t need to be proven to the public. Our relationship is fine. Please stop spreading misinformation,”.
