Overseasidol.com — The death case of late Thai actress Tangmo Nida has once again drawn public attention as Thailand’s Department of Special Investigation (DSI) continues reviewing unresolved questions surrounding the high-profile case.

During a recent meeting, DSI officials focused on allegations that certain individuals may have improperly influenced or distorted aspects of the criminal justice process.

Investigators are examining whether any actions were taken to help individuals avoid legal responsibility or receive reduced penalties related to the actress’s death.

As part of the renewed investigation, DSI invited three experts from medical and related fields to provide professional opinions on key pieces of evidence.

Their findings will be incorporated into the official case file and used as supporting material in the agency’s final assessment.

According to DSI, the review process is expected to be completed by June 2026.

Once finalized, the case documents will be forwarded to Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), which will further examine whether there were any irregularities in the preparation of the original investigation files by law enforcement authorities.

A senior official from DSI’s Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division stated that one of the main issues still under examination involves injuries found on Tangmo Nida’s back.

Investigators have already conducted field inspections, including recreating the boat’s route and reviewing GPS data from the vessel involved in the incident.

The collected evidence will be analyzed alongside court rulings, witness statements, defendants’ testimonies, and other materials previously submitted during legal proceedings.

DSI believes that additional expert analysis could help determine whether any facts were misrepresented during the original investigation.

The agency expects to reach a preliminary conclusion regarding its latest findings within the month.
