Overseasidol.com — Thai actor Oat Pasakorn, best known for his roles in “My Stubborn” and his upcoming Omegaverse series “Knot”, has become the center of controversy after parts of his live broadcast went viral online.
Many fans criticized his remarks as offensive, disrespectful, and vulgar, especially toward the BL (Boys’ Love) community.
During the livestream, while discussing his new series that features the Omegaverse theme where male characters can become pregnant, Oat made a remark comparing the concept of a “knot” to “d*gs mating and getting stuck together”.
The statement sparked strong backlash for being crude and insensitive.
He also referred to his current rise in fame as a “profitable era,” saying he was once “like a homeless person in the industry”.
This led fans to interpret that he viewed the BL genre merely as a way to gain attention and income, rather than as a meaningful artistic field.
International and Thai fans alike expressed disappointment, saying that BL audiences appreciate the chemistry, storytelling, and emotional connection of the genre not just explicit scenes.
Many accused Oat of showing disrespect for the community and trivializing their passion.
Following the backlash, Oat Pasakorn issued a handwritten public apology, admitting that his words were thoughtless.
He wrote that he deeply regretted the incident and promised to be more mindful in the future.
Shortly after, Mflow Entertainment, his agency, released an official statement acknowledging the criticism and confirming that they had spoken to the actor about his behavior.
The company stated that both Oat and the agency would take this as a valuable lesson to act more responsibly in public.
While some fans accepted his apology, the controversy has reignited conversations about the need for professionalism and respect in the BL industry, a space deeply tied to representation and identity for many viewers.
