Overseasidol.com — Rumors surrounding the alleged separation of Chinese mainland actress Tiffany Tang Yan and actor Luo Jin have been effectively dismissed after the couple was seen together at the funeral of Luo Jin’s father in Beijing.
The farewell ceremony took place on November 23 at the Babaoshan Funeral Home and was held in a private and solemn setting with no photography allowed.
Luo Jin was seen holding his father’s portrait while Tang Yan remained by his side throughout the service, reinforcing the image of unity amid widespread speculation.
Chinese media reported that Luo Jin’s father passed away on November 19 at the age of 70 after a period of illness.
Tiffany’s father was also present at the ceremony, dressed in black, while Tang Yan entered through a private passage and stayed close to her husband until they left together.
The divorce rumors began when a Weibo user claimed that a “sweet middle-aged celebrity couple” had secretly ended their marriage.
Although no names were mentioned, online speculation pointed to Tiffany and Luo Jin due to their reduced public appearances and long-distance living situation.
In reality, Luo Jin had paused his acting career since late last year to care for his ill father in Beijing, while Tang Yan remained in Shanghai to support their daughter’s schooling.
The couple was even spotted together with their child during a family outing at Shanghai Disneyland in August, showing no signs of marital discord.
The news of Luo Jin’s father’s passing was officially announced by his management on November 20. Several close acquaintances attended the funeral, including Taiwanese actor Ming Dao, who once served as a groomsman at the couple’s wedding.
Tiffany Tang and Luo Jin first met while filming the drama Beauty in Troubled Times in 2011 and later starred together in several hit series.
They publicly confirmed their relationship in 2016, becoming one of the most admired celebrity couples in the Chinese entertainment industry.
