Overseasidol.com — Thai actress Yada Narilya opened up about her health condition during the gala premiere of her latest thriller film, Omukade.

The revelation quickly drew public attention as she shared that she had been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, a condition that left her emotionally shaken and in tears when she first learned about it.

Yada explained that she has long suffered from asthma, but while filming, she began experiencing unusually severe fatigue and frequent emergency room visits.

Concerned about her health, she decided to wear a smartwatch to monitor her physical condition more closely. That decision turned out to be life-changing.

Even while sitting still, her heart rate reportedly spiked to 120 beats per minute, and rose to 150 when she simply walked to the bathroom.

At first, she feared she might have a heart condition. However, after thorough medical examinations, doctors diagnosed her with hyperthyroidism, a disorder that can be influenced by hormonal imbalances, stress, environmental factors, or genetic history.

Her treatment plan requires her to take medication for at least one year.

Yada shared that while the medication itself did not cause significant side effects, stopping it led to rapid weight loss, extreme thinness, constant fatigue, and difficulty gaining weight despite eating normally.

As her condition has improved, her doctor reduced the dosage, which resulted in a weight gain of about three kilograms something that has begun to affect her work in the entertainment industry.

Yada admitted that if it were not for the smartwatch, she might never have discovered the illness.

She described herself as someone who endures pain quietly and rarely shows signs of being unwell.

Previously, she focused solely on treating her asthma, which delayed the detection of hyperthyroidism.

An earlier medical checkup in early 2025 showed no abnormalities, as her symptoms only worsened toward the end of the year.
