Overseasidol.com — Chinese host and actress Xie Na has publicly spoken out in defense of her husband, singer Jason Zhang, calling on Joker Xue to issue a formal apology.
On March 3, Xie Na stated that the revival of an old controversy was triggered by renewed discussions surrounding Joker’s past romantic entanglements.
However, she emphasized that the root of the issue has always stemmed from his own remarks.
According to Xie Na, comments made by Joker during a television appearance years ago led public opinion to target Jason Zhang.
She stressed that her only request is for Joker to take responsibility for his words and formally apologize to Zhang Jie for being dragged into the controversy without justification.
Both Jason and Joker rose to fame through the 2004 talent show My Show.
In a previous appearance on the talk show Roast!, Joker made remarks stating that he did not terminate contracts early, did not rely on wealthy girlfriends to release albums, and did not depend on more famous partners to advance his career.
At the time, many netizens interpreted the statement as an indirect jab at Jason, particularly in relation to past contract disputes and his relationship with Xie Na.
The issue has recently resurfaced following new allegations made by Li Yutong, who claimed that Joker had privately criticized Jason’s singing style.
Her statements reignited online debate and renewed scrutiny of the long-standing tension between the artists.
