Chinese drama Legend of Zang Hai has achieved another major milestone.
The series, starring Xiao Zhan, has been officially recognized by China’s NRTA as the only costume drama in the past five years to be included in the country’s prestigious collection of outstanding audiovisual productions.
The drama has also been listed in the 2025 China Broadcasting and Television Yearbook and was named one of the year’s most successful and influential television series.
During its broadcast run, Legend of Zang Hai topped annual viewership rankings across major Chinese data platforms, including Yunhe, Lighthouse, and Maoyan.
Streaming platform Youku confirmed that the series set new records for popularity, advertising revenue, subscriber growth, and overall earnings.
According to China Video Big Data (CVB), the drama ranked among the highest-rated television series of the year.
Its influence also extended internationally, earning a place on the IMAD Global Top 100 Drama Series list. (Overseasidol.com)
