A major collaboration between Thailand and China is set to make waves in the entertainment industry with the launch of the new short drama Say You Love Me, My Bossy.
The project was officially introduced during a blessing ceremony hosted by ESC Studio and Chinese entertainment company Zhuji Cultural and Entertainment.
The series is being positioned as one of the most ambitious vertical drama productions in Asia.
Popular Thai actress Esther Supreeleela has been cast opposite rising Chinese actor Huang Jiyuan, creating a highly anticipated pairing.
Producer Thanyares Engtrakul revealed that the drama stands out from typical romance productions.
Rather than relying on unrealistic storylines, the series is built around the real-life profession of an interpreter while blending Thai and Chinese cultural elements.
The production will feature a total of 70 episodes and aims to bring a fresh concept to the rapidly growing vertical drama market.
The story follows Alin, a simultaneous interpreter who infiltrates a powerful corporation to uncover evidence that could clear her father’s name after he was wrongfully blamed for a construction accident.
During her mission, she crosses paths with Lu Zeyuan, the company’s president, who quickly falls in love with her.
Their relationship develops amid corporate conflicts, family rivalries, and long-buried secrets.
Beyond romance, the drama explores themes of justice, family loyalty, personal growth, and intercultural relationships.
Esther is expected to portray a strong and independent Thai woman, while Huang Jiyuan brings emotional depth and charisma to his leading role.
Say You Love Me, My Bossy is scheduled to premiere soon on iQIYI International, ReelShort, and other leading global streaming platforms. (Overseasidol.com)
