Taiwanese singer and actor Wang Leehom has spoken about the stage accident he suffered during the second Chengdu stop of his World Tour on July 4.
The incident happened while performing the opening song, leaving him with injuries to his face and left ear.
In a statement shared early on July 5, Wang explained that his foot became tangled in a safety cable, causing him to fall and hit the edge of the metal stage.
The impact struck his left ear, where he was wearing an in-ear monitor, resulting in serious damage to the ear cartilage and heavy bleeding.
Despite the painful injury, Wang continued performing and completed the entire concert using only his right ear after he could no longer wear the monitor on the left side.
After the show, he was taken to the hospital, where doctors treated his injuries with a total of 39 stitches, including 27 stitches on his ear and 12 on his face.
A CT scan confirmed that he did not suffer any brain or skull injuries.
Fans expressed relief after hearing the positive medical update, while many praised Wang Leehom for his professionalism and determination to finish the concert. (Overseasidol.com)
