Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming, through the Tomorrow Charity Foundation, has launched a relief effort to support families affected by severe flooding across several regions in China.
The initiative was funded by donations from Huang Xiaoming and a number of well-known celebrities.
Among those contributing to the campaign are Tong Liya, Huang Lei and his wife, Huang Bo, Tan Jianci, Xiao Zhan, Leo Wu, Yang Zi, Zhu Yilong, Bai Lu, and Wan Qian.
Together, they helped provide 4,000 emergency family relief kits for disaster-affected communities.
Heavy rainfall this summer has caused flooding across Northeast, North, and South China.
On July 6, several reservoirs in Nanning and Guigang, Guangxi, were reported to be facing emergency conditions, increasing the urgency of disaster relief efforts.
Each emergency kit contains more than 20 essential items, including thermal blankets, rescue whistles, raincoats, first-aid supplies, bandages, hygiene products, and solar-powered multifunction flashlights.
The aid is expected to help families meet their basic needs during the emergency response. (Overseasidol.com)
