Overseasidol.com — The web drama Beloved Enemy is reportedly getting a remake, with filming expected to begin in late April.

The story is based on the well-known novel by Chinese author Shui Qiancheng, whose works are widely popular among online readers.

The plot centers on the intense relationship between Gu Qingpei, an elite and highly intelligent business executive with a calm yet distant personality, and Yuan Yang, a rebellious former special forces soldier known for his tough and impulsive nature.

Their paths cross when Gu Qingpei is tasked with mentoring the young heir of a corporate leader.

Reports suggest that the upcoming remake will be fully filmed in Thailand and is planned to run for 16 episodes, each lasting around 45 minutes.

The original story had previously been adapted into a series in 2017, making this new version one of the most anticipated projects among fans of Chinese web dramas.

As production preparations continue, audiences are eagerly waiting for official casting announcements and further updates about the drama’s creative direction.
