The closing ceremony of the 23rd China Movie Channel Media Awards took place on June 19, 2026, celebrating outstanding achievements across China’s film industry.
A total of 18 films competed for 15 media honors.
Blades of the Guardians emerged as one of the evening’s biggest winners, taking home the award for Most Anticipated Film by the Media.
The film also earned supporting acting honors for Yu Shi and Li Yunxiao.
Meanwhile, Dead to Rights secured two major acting awards, with Liu Haoran winning Best Actor and Gao Ye receiving Best Actress.
Actor-director Da Peng enjoyed a successful night as The Lychee Road won both Best Director and Best Screenplay.
Dear You also stood out by receiving the Special Jury Honor while helping Li Sitong earn Best New Actress.
The Best New Actor award was shared by Wang Yantong for Dear You and Liu Haoyu for My Tomorrow Your Yesterday.
Another highlight of the ceremony was Dong Zijian winning Best New Director for his directorial debut, My Friend An Delie. (Overseasidol.com)
