Thai actor Billy Patchanon has publicly responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding Babe Tanatat’s claim that he was never paid for a completed event appearance.
The issue has sparked widespread discussion among fans and entertainment observers across social media.
The controversy began after Babe revealed that he had fulfilled his obligations at an event and even covered certain production-related expenses himself, yet allegedly never received the payment he was promised.
He also mentioned that part of the event fee had reportedly been transferred to “certain artists” leading to intense speculation online.
In response, Billy released a statement explaining that the situation was connected to a payment dispute involving their former agency, Idol Factory.
According to Billy, he was also owed money by the agency and believed that a 50,000-baht transfer he received was payment that rightfully belonged to him.
Billy stated that the information and documents available to him at the time indicated that the money was intended as his payment.
He added that he was never informed that the amount was supposed to be shared with another artist.
The actor explained that it was only later that the agency informed him the payment should have been divided.
He stressed that he never intended to take funds that belonged to someone else and remains willing to cooperate in resolving the matter.
Billy also revealed that he plans to pursue any outstanding payments he believes are still owed to him by the agency.
His statement has led many fans to speculate that he may have been the “certain artist” referenced in Babe’s earlier remarks, although Babe has never publicly identified anyone by name.
