Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group Boku ga Mitakatta Aozora has released the music video for their upcoming 7th single “Are wa Fairy”, which will be officially launched on December 17.
The song has also begun streaming ahead of its physical release.
This is their first single in four months since “Shisen no Love Letter”.
The title track is performed by Aozora-gumi, a selected team of 11 members, with Ami Kanazawa serving as the center.
“Are wa Fairy” is a gentle winter-themed love song that portrays the sweetness and ache of a first crush.
The music video shows a youth story where Kanazawa plays a shy transfer student who escapes into her imagination.
In that fantasy world, she spends joyful moments with her classmates, and eventually, her imagination begins to blend with reality, leading to true friendship.
One symbolic element in the MV is the “Fairy Heart” pose shaped like a heart with wings which acts as the trigger for Kanazawa’s shift into her fantasy world and represents the song’s whimsical atmosphere.
To celebrate the release, the group is holding nationwide individual handshake events, online talk sessions, and their first-ever online signing event.
Additional “group handshake sessions” and free live events with handshake opportunities have also been confirmed.
