Overseasidol.com — Chinese singer and actor Chen Linong has found himself at the center of online discussion following the launch of filming for his new movie The Long Life on June 8, 2026, in Wenzhou, China.

The project, which stars Chen Linong alongside actress Zhang Yifan, quickly attracted attention after behind-the-scenes photos and production rumors began circulating across social media.

The controversy started when leaked images allegedly showing romantic scenes between Chen Linong and Zhang Yifan appeared online.

Reports claiming that the film included a kiss scene sparked intense reactions among fans.

While many supported Chen Linong’s growth as an actor, some expressed disappointment and even announced that they would no longer follow him.

As a result, keywords related to “Chen Linong kiss scene” quickly climbed trending charts on Chinese social media platforms.

Directed by Chen Guohui, The Long Life is based on the real-life story of cancer fighter Huo Jiujiu.

Zhang Yifan plays Xu Qian, a woman battling a serious illness, while Chen Linong portrays her husband, Qiao Yize.

The film combines romance, road-trip elements, rock music, and emotional storytelling inspired by true events.

As speculation continued to spread online, Chen Linong Studio released an official statement on June 9, 2026.

The agency firmly denied the rumors circulating on the internet and stated that many of the alleged screenshots and production-related claims were fabricated and intentionally designed to create controversy.

The studio also announced that it would collect evidence against accounts responsible for spreading false information.

Legal action may be pursued to protect the reputation and rights of both the actor and the film production team.

In addition, the statement called on the public to respect production rules during filming.

The agency specifically criticized unauthorized photography, stalking, leaking behind-the-scenes content, and other invasive fan behaviors that could disrupt filming schedules and affect the actors’ working environment.
