Acclaimed Chinese director Feng Xiaogang is set to bring the highly anticipated crime drama I Know Who You Are to theaters on June 19, 2026.
The movie is adapted from Zhang Ce’s novel No Regrets Tracking and features an all-star cast led by Lei Jiayin and Hu Ge.
Joining the leading actors are Chuo Ni, Zhang Yao, Lin Xiaofan, and Yang Shuyi.
Production began in October 2024 and wrapped in mid-January 2025.
Set in the early days of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, the story follows Xiao Dali, a former soldier who becomes the head of a local police station.
During the celebrations marking the founding of the new nation, he grows suspicious of Feng Jingbo, an elementary school teacher believed to be an undercover spy.
Driven by his instincts and strong sense of duty, Xiao Dali moves into the same neighborhood as Feng Jingbo to monitor his every move.
Over time, the investigator and his target become next-door neighbors, creating a complex relationship that spans nearly four decades.
As the years pass, their rivalry evolves into a deeply human story that affects not only their own lives but also the futures of their families and the next generation.
Blending crime, history, and emotional drama, I Know Who You Are explores themes of loyalty, responsibility, and the blurred lines between enemies and companions. (Overseasidol.com)
