Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat has shared the intensive preparation she completed for Kung Fu Soccer, the upcoming movie by Stephen Chow.
She admitted she never imagined she would one day star in one of the filmmaker’s productions.
In a recent interview, Dilraba described playing a women’s football player as one of the biggest challenges of her career.
She said she promised the director that she would be fully prepared before filming began.
To portray the role, Dilraba Dilmurat completed a three-month intensive training program.
She gained eight kilograms, underwent professional football training, and practiced demanding action sequences to make her performance more convincing.
In the film, she plays Yu Long, the number 8 striker and key attacking player of the Emei women’s football team.
She also performed all of her football and action scenes without using a stunt double.
Dilraba expressed hope that her hard work and dedication will allow audiences to enjoy her performance when Kung Fu Soccer is released. (Overseasidol.com)
