Overseasidol.com — On June 15, Dong Zijian appeared at a press conference as a jury member for the Asian New Talent Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
Dong expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, calling the festival the place where his dreams began.
He once stood on the same stage as a host for the same award.
Having worked both as an actor and a director, Dong shared personal stories from his early career.
“As a new actor, I was too nervous to sleep. As a new director, I was too excited to sleep,” he laughed.
However, Dong Zijian did not sleep at all while pursuing a new profession.
