Overseasidol.com — GMM Music has officially resolved the recent management dispute surrounding GeneLab through a joint statement with Ohm Cocktail.

The announcement confirms that both sides have reached a mutual agreement, bringing the issue to an amicable conclusion.

The controversy began when Ohm announced his intention to step down from his management role within GeneLab and its associated labels, raising concerns across the Thai music industry.

Several artists under the label also expressed their attention and uncertainty regarding the situation.

Under the new agreement, existing contracts will remain unchanged.

However, GMM Music has agreed to allow Ohm’s newly established company, Half Nine, to participate in artist management.

This creates a collaborative structure where both parties will jointly oversee artist development.

Popular bands such as Taitosmith, Three Man Down, and Tilly Birds will continue their careers under the same contractual framework, now supported by a dual-management system designed to enhance growth opportunities.

Regarding music rights, GMM Music will remain the sole rights holder, managing digital distribution, revenue streams, and licensing for commercial use and live performances.

Artists will still be able to perform their existing catalog without restrictions.

In terms of business activities, both GMM Music and Half Nine will collaborate on brand partnerships, concert bookings, and promotional engagements, prioritizing the artists’ best interests.

Artists are also expected to take part in GMM-organized concerts and festivals, with several groups confirming plans to hold at least one major concert with GMM during their contract period.

In his statement, Ohm described his departure from GeneLab as a difficult decision, expressing gratitude toward GMM Music for their understanding and constructive dialogue.

He emphasized his continued support for the team and his intention to maintain a strong relationship with the company.

Artists involved have also shared supportive messages. Three Man Down confirmed they will adapt to the new management structure without terminating their contracts, while Tilly Birds described the change as a step forward.

Taitosmith highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving long-term success.
