Overseasidol.com — Hong Kong actor Will Or, 33, revealed late last month that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung adenocarcinoma.
He is currently undergoing targeted drug therapy and adjusting his work schedule according to his health, including his planned appearance in the stage play The Big Banana Theatre.
On August 11, Will posted an Instagram Story saying, “I plan to treat every visit to the clinic and hospital like going to Disneyland,”.
The remark sparked misunderstanding among some fans who thought he had been hospitalized.
Will quickly clarified, “I’m not admitted to the hospital. Today was just a follow-up consultation, blood test, and check-up. What I meant is that I want to approach every medical visit with the same mindset as going to an amusement park,”.
Updating his current condition, Keung said he is now only taking anti-cancer medication, able to walk, eat, and sleep normally.
His cough has disappeared, his breathing is smooth, and his voice is gradually improving.
While he still experiences drowsiness as a side effect, he remains able to carry on with daily activities.
Speaking about his emotional state, Will Or admitted it fluctuates.
“Sometimes I feel good, sometimes bad. Sometimes strong, sometimes fragile. Just like anyone else, I experience all kinds of emotions.
I’m still learning to live with this ‘old trouble’. I can laugh, I can cry, and I’m more in touch with my feelings. Maybe someday, it will help in my acting,” he shared.
He ended with a message of reassurance to his supporters, “Don’t worry too much. With you all behind me, I’ll be fine,”.
