Overseasidol.com — Sherming Yiu recently shocked the public with a candid revelation during an interview.

She revealed that she was repeatedly harassed on set by a well-respected senior actor at TVB.

Sherming shared that the veteran actor would often hold her hands and touch her waist under the guise of showing care.

At first, she didn’t recognize it as harassment. She thought that since the man was elderly and highly respected in the industry, it might simply be his way of expressing friendliness.

However, as the incidents continued, Yao eventually confronted him.

With a forced smile, she asked, “Are you giving me a physical check-up?,”.

Her unexpected remark stunned the actor, who never dared to bother her again.

In the same interview, Sherming also revealed that many of her female friends in the entertainment industry have faced similar experiences.

Her statement highlights the prevalence of harassment in the workplace, particularly in the entertainment world.

Sherming Yiu, whose real name is Yao Yali, began her career with TVB in 1998.

She is best known for her roles in hit dramas such as “Forensic Heroes”, “Armed Reaction”, “Untraceable Evidence”, and “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber”.
