Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou has sparked widespread speculation after reports claimed he recently purchased four entire floors in the ultra-luxury residential complex “Puyong Dunyang” located in Taipei’s upscale Songshan District.
The reported purchase is said to be worth approximately HK$786 million (over NT$3 billion).
According to local media, each floor in the Puyong Dunyang complex spans 100 to 120 pings (roughly 330–400 square meters).
If the purchase includes 12 parking spaces as estimated, it would make this one of the most significant personal real estate investments by a Taiwanese celebrity in recent years.
The building is also located just steps away from JVR Music, the record label founded by Jay Chou himself, further fueling rumors that the property could serve personal or business-related purposes.
Interestingly, the news coincides with Jay Chou’s upcoming three-night concert series at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park, scheduled for June 27 to 29, 2025.
However, JVR Music has since responded to the reports, labeling them “exaggerated and inaccurate” and stating that they would not comment on Jay Chou’s private affairs.
Jay Chou is no stranger to luxury real estate. In 2015, he famously acquired a penthouse in Taipei’s Heping area, noted for its 360-degree rooftop balcony and top-grade soundproofing, which allows him to play piano late into the night without disturbing others.
