Overseasidol.com — More than a month has passed since Chinese actor Alan Yu Menglong tragically fell to his death on September 11, 2025, yet questions surrounding his death remain unresolved.
Although police quickly ruled the case an accident, the public continues to express strong skepticism.
In response, a global online campaign titled “Justice for Yu Menglong” has gained significant momentum, amassing over 608,000 signatures and counting reflecting the widespread demand for transparency and truth.
The sudden passing of Yu Menglong shocked fans across China and Taiwan.
Shortly after the tragedy, several unverified video clips surfaced online, allegedly showing details related to the incident.
These clips fueled widespread speculation that the real circumstances behind his death might have been covered up.
Organizers of the petition stated that their movement aims not only to seek justice for Yu Menglong, but also to advocate for a safer and fairer working environment in the entertainment industry.
The petition outlines three key demands: first, a transparent and independent reinvestigation of the case; second, legal accountability for any individuals found to be involved; and third, a formal public apology from any responsible parties.
As the case continues to dominate online discussions, several public figures including director Cheng Qingsong and actors Fan Shiqi and Ireine Song Yiren, have been caught up in the controversy.
Despite issuing public statements denying any involvement, they have faced ongoing online backlash and calls for boycotts from some netizens.
So far, most of the so-called “evidence” and rumors circulating online remain unverified.
Nevertheless, the public’s demand for truth has not waned. Social media remains flooded with comments such as “Don’t let this case be buried in silence” and “Yu Menglong deserves justice,” highlighting the deep sense of loss and distrust that continues to linger more than a month after the actor’s untimely death.
