Overseasidol.com — On December 25, the hashtag “Ken Chu reports Mayday’s agency” surged to the top of Weibo’s trending list, drawing widespread public attention.

Former F4 member Ken publicly accused Bin Music, the agency representing Mayday, of alleged unethical and irregular business practices.

In a series of online statements, Chu claimed that Bin Music deliberately abandoned its partner Chinese Music’s in-house ticketing system and chose to cooperate with Damai instead.

He alleged that this decision enabled ticket scalpers to inflate concert prices, with the agency allegedly sharing profits from the price markup while avoiding taxes on the excess revenue.

Chu further alleged that the company operates two affiliated entities in mainland China, one focused on music and the other on trade.

According to him, artist fees were underreported, while portions of the payments were transferred through the trading company and settled overseas, allegedly as a means of tax evasion.

Beyond financial accusations, Ken also spoke about his onstage experiences. He claimed that during performances at the Taipei Arena and Beijing National Stadium, he was asked to pre-record vocals for lip-syncing purposes.

Chu emphasized that despite suffering from tinnitus and potential pitch instability, he insisted on performing with a fully live microphone, remarks that many netizens interpreted as an indirect reference to similar practices involving Mayday.

As of now, Bin Music has not issued an official response to the allegations.

Earlier, Ken Chu had revealed that his communication with the company was abruptly cut off after he refused certain requests.

He later learned through media reports that he had been removed from the planned F4 reunion tour lineup, with Mayday’s vocalist Ashin stepping in as a replacement.
