The lawyer expressed deep condolences over Hsu’s passing, calling her a law-abiding, kind, and courageous woman. She emphasized that Hsu’s reputation and dignity must be respected and protected.
The lawyer condemned all forms of defamation and insults directed at the late actress and her legal representatives.
She noted that protecting the honor of the deceased also upholds the dignity of the living and the integrity of social norms.
She declared that they would no longer remain silent and would adopt a zero-tolerance stance toward any act of rumor-mongering, using legal measures to safeguard Hsu’s reputation and the rights of her representatives.
Lawyer Deng Gaojing further revealed that after Barbie Hsu’s death, she officially accepted the commission from Hsu’s husband, DJ Koo (Koo Jun-yup), and his mother, Huang Chunmei, in April 2025.
She clarified that all related authorization procedures had been notarized and submitted to the Beijing Internet Court, confirming that her continued representation in this case is an undeniable fact.
