Overseasidol.com — Upcoming Thai drama “My Wife’s Gunslinger God” is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated series of the year.
Produced through a collaboration between TrueVisions NOW and Halo Productions, the project first gained attention during the announcement.
The series officially premieres on June 1 and marks the very first on-screen pairing between Thai stars Mew Suppasit and Aom Sushar.
Adapted from a well-known novel written under the pen name Wala, the drama combines romance, comedy, and gaming culture into a unique marriage story filled with secrets and emotional tension.
The story follows Nopphakao, played by Aom Sushar, a gentle and seemingly ordinary school teacher who secretly lives a second life as a highly skilled gamer dreaming of becoming a professional player.
She ends up marrying Raphi, portrayed by Mew Suppasit, the heir to a hotel business who strongly dislikes gaming and has a personality completely opposite from hers.
To Raphi, Nopphakao appears to be a simple and traditional woman. He agrees to the marriage mainly to satisfy his family and believes they can peacefully coexist until the day they eventually separate.
However, his perspective slowly changes as he begins discovering unexpected sides of his wife that completely challenge his assumptions.
For Nopphakao, Raphi has always been her first love since childhood.
Even though he tries to control their relationship within strict boundaries, she quietly uses her own “gaming strategies” to win his heart.
At the same time, she must carefully hide her true identity as a famous gaming figure from her husband.
The drama is directed by rising directors Natthachawit Santiwatthanakul and Achira Asawadechakul, who aim to bring a fresh and emotional storytelling style to the adaptation.
Besides the two lead stars, the cast also includes Khao Titan, Chaoey Suthada, PJ Mahidol, Title Techin, Jane Kunjiranut and many more talented actors.
