On November 2, 2025, the Global Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party issued a public statement announcing that it had formally processed a triple resignation under Yu Menglong’s name, despite the actor’s passing.
Normally, such a procedure can only be requested by a family member or someone personally acquainted with the deceased. However, due to the overwhelming number of requests from fans and supporters, the organization decided to make an exception.
“Given the volume of requests we’ve received, we have decided to officially register a triple resignation for the late actor Yu Menglong,” the statement read.
