Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actress Serena Wang Ching, experienced a terrifying accident on July 19.
While attempting to cook an egg using a microwave, the egg suddenly exploded right in front of her face, leaving her with a torn cornea and minor skin burns.
She was rushed to the Tri-Service General Hospital (SanZong) for emergency treatment.
Sharing the incident on her Instagram Stories, Wang Ching revealed that she had followed a YouTube tutorial to cook eggs in a microwave.
However, as she took the egg out, it exploded without warning.
“My cornea was torn, and my skin was slightly burned. The pain was unbearable, I cried, felt dizzy, and struggled to breathe.
Even after painkillers and injections, it still hurt so much,” she recounted.
When she returned home, Wang Ching discovered blast marks on her kitchen ceiling, with broken eggshells scattered across her living room.
Still shaken by the incident, she said, “Luckily, the explosion shot upward, and I was standing to the side.
If not, with such a powerful blast, my eye could have been completely destroyed.”
Now, Serena Wang admits she has developed PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) whenever she sees a microwave.
She also issued a warning to her fans, “Never, ever put eggs raw or cooked into a microwave!,”.
