Overseasidol.com — Thai acclaimed actor Got Jirayu has finally addressed public curiosity over his noticeably reduced screen appearances in recent years.
Speaking at a public event, Got clarified that the slowdown isn’t due to his own reluctance but rather reflects the current downturn and transformation in Thailand’s entertainment industry.
“People don’t really watch TV anymore—even those of us in the business watch everything on phones and streaming platforms,” he said honestly.
He noted that traditional TV dramas are losing their grip on audiences, while digital platforms are reshaping how content is consumed.
Got believes the industry requires a complete overhaul in terms of storytelling, production techniques, and distribution.
Currently, Got is set to appear in an upcoming action-themed series titled “The Sixth Sense Boy”, with no other acting projects confirmed for now.
He shared that he’s become more selective with roles, preferring projects with depth and thoughtful messaging over outdated, melodramatic storylines.
“I’m no longer interested in shows where people just fight over love or slap each other around. Content should evolve,” he remarked.
Regarding fan concerns about his weight loss, Got confirmed that he has slimmed down by about 3–4 kilograms.
With no current roles demanding a specific body shape, he’s shifted to eating twice a day and focusing on light workouts. Despite the changes, he reassured fans that his health is stable and lifestyle balanced.
“I’m open to working, but if something doesn’t hold value, I’d rather not do it,” he concluded.
Got Jirayu expressed his desire to choose meaningful, socially relevant projects moving forward as both an artist and a professional.
