Overseasidol.com — The 16th edition of the Beijing International Film Festival officially concluded on April 25, 2026, with the announcement of winners in the prestigious Tiantan Awards main competition.
This year’s festival showcased strong competition from global entries, with the British film Dragonfly emerging as the biggest winner.
“Dragonfly” secured three major awards, including Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Screenplay, highlighting its strong storytelling and powerful performances.
The film tells the story of two women from different backgrounds who gradually develop trust and emotional connection through shared experiences.
Meanwhile, the Chinese film “All The Good Eyes” also gained recognition, with Yu Hewei winning Best Actor and Qiao Shan taking home Best Supporting Actor.
The film presents a layered narrative involving fate, love, and multi-generational conflict intertwined with mystery.
