Overseasidol.com — Thailand’s entertainment industry is set to launch a new Boys’ Love series titled “The Masked Hearts,” produced by Final Draft Creation.
The drama stands out by incorporating Thailand’s classical performing art of khon into a romantic storyline that spans across past and present lives.
The series will premiere on February 21 on Amarin TV and will also be available for replay on the FINAL DRAFT CREATION YouTube channel.
Directed by Truper Ariyachai, the drama combines school rivalry, reincarnation, and forbidden love into a culturally rich narrative.
The story follows Sand, a high school student determined to take over the school’s khon club from Lucky, the current club president and grandson of a National Artist in khon performance.
What begins as a rivalry gradually transforms into a deeper connection, as both characters discover a mysterious bond tied to their past lives during the reign of King Rama VI.
In their previous life, they shared a forbidden love between a master and his servant. In the present, however, their relationship starts with animosity at first sight.
The contrast between the two timelines creates emotional tension as they navigate unresolved feelings and destiny intertwined across lifetimes.
The production is supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Culture, highlighting its role in promoting and preserving traditional khon art among younger audiences.
Beyond romance, viewers will also experience the beauty of traditional costumes, choreography, and the philosophical depth embedded in Thailand’s classical performance heritage.
The lead roles are portrayed by Fone Tanakorn, known for his role as Pan in “Friends Forever” from the “My Universe The Series” project, alongside newcomer Tar Vacharathorn from F9F Entertainment.
Their first on-screen pairing has already generated anticipation among BL fans.
